Wood decks & railings
Solution, dwell and a wider rinse—not a narrow blast.
Wood and Fence Washing
Material-matched cleaning for wood, vinyl and composite—without carving up the surface.
Wood, vinyl and composite fences
Controlled pressure on deck boards
Irrigation streaking considered
Wood and fence surfaces show dirt quickly, but they also show cleaning mistakes. Too much pressure can raise wood grain, leave wand marks and cut into soft areas. Vinyl fences can trap algae around seams, while composite decks may have manufacturer-specific cleaning limits.
Jacksonville Washers provides deck, fence and selected dock-surface cleaning using a method based on the material, age, finish and condition.
Note material (wood, vinyl, composite), access to both sides, and whether staining is planned after dry time.

Wood fibers can be damaged by a narrow nozzle or close high-pressure pass. Cleaning may rely on a wood-appropriate solution, dwell time and a wider, controlled rinse. Weathered boards, soft spots, splinters, loose fasteners and failing stain should be documented before the work.
Cleaning removes buildup; it does not make worn wood new. Sanding, repair, staining or sealing may be needed after the surface dries. Stubborn marks may need specialty stain cleaning. Nearby house walls often pair with house washing.
Vinyl fences often collect green buildup near irrigation and shaded landscaping. Wood fences may gray, stain unevenly or hold organic growth. Composite materials vary. Each fence should be checked for loose panels, weak posts, oxidation, old coatings and nearby plants.
Both sides can be cleaned only when access and property boundaries are clear. Neighboring property, gates and pets should be considered before scheduling.
If staining is planned, coordinate with the coating manufacturer or painter. The deck may need cleaning, brightening, sanding, repairs and adequate dry time. Washing alone is not full coating preparation, and applying stain too soon can trap moisture.
Concrete patios without wood are covered under driveway and concrete cleaning.
Decks beneath mature trees in Riverside, Avondale, Mandarin and Arlington can hold shade and leaf tannins. Riverfront and coastal structures face moisture and salt-air exposure. Fences near irrigation may develop repeated streaking at the same height. Cleaning should address the visible buildup while acknowledging the conditions that may bring it back. Local references are listed under service areas.
Visual proof
Organic growth lifts without a narrow high-pressure nozzle chewing into wood fiber.
Social proof
Cedar fence was gray and fuzzy. They used a wood-appropriate approach and flagged soft boards before we restained.
Composite deck had mildew in the shade. Gentle clean, no fuzzy grain, ready for us to reseal on our schedule.
Both sides of the vinyl fence where we had access. Algae came off without scarring the panels.
